Severed Seas

I'll conjure memories of times
when we were still Siamese twins
joined together at the hip

And other times still
when we were torn apart
stuck by the skin of our lips

But all these memories
will never drown the sound
of you waving on the deck
as you set sail
on someone else's ship.

I wouldn't know whether to curse you for drowning me in a pool of nostalgia and resentment or to thank you for writing so well. Either way, no challo-jee this time. Great work, sir.

Go ahead.
You're welcome.
And thank you.

I play the piano. And I'm probably going to copy your lyrical work and force someone to sing it along while I play.

Rok ke dikha, bhai. -.-

Hmm. I play the piano. Not great at it, but I could piece together a few songs here and there, and do pretty okay.

I don't care to stop you. In terms of lyrical work, this is subpar, I think. If you still want to force someone to sing it (provided there exists someone you can force to sing for you...) then do as you would.
